Neha Dhupia On Working During Her Second Pregnancy: ‘I Was In The Middle Of Contractions And Was Shooting'
Neha Dhupia, in a recent interview, shared her experience of working during pregnancy
Neha Dhupia has rightfully earned the title of a staunch and independent figure in Bollywood. She has been sharing interesting facts about her two pregnancies, and has been motivating women to not stop working during its course. The actress set an example as she worked through her second pregnancy and shot for her upcoming film Sanak which features her as a pregnant police officer. She recently spoke about her experience, and revealed that she was in the middle of contractions while shooting for a project.
For the unversed, Neha Dhupia recently welcomed her second child, a baby boy, with her actor-husband Angad Bedi earlier this month. They also have a daughter, Mehr, who was born in 2018.
Speaking about her experience of working during pregnancy, Neha told News18, “I haven’t told this to anyone, but I was working through labour and contractions. Like I was in the middle of contractions and was shooting.”
She further quipped, “On a lighter note, you can put the crown back on my head which I won 20 years back (referring to her Femina Miss India pageant win) that I was working while having labour and contractions.”
She added that she had not decided to work up until her due date but it just panned out that way.
In a previous interview with ETimes, Neha Dhupia talked about getting back to work after six days of her son’s birth. She also pointed out that on the ninth day, after Mehr was born, she was back at work. She said, “This time around I returned to work on the sixth day after the delivery. Yes, I already did two shoots at home. With the little baby around it was must for the team to do their tests and only then they stepped into the house. I personally feel that if you want a break then it is important to have one as recovery is very important.”
In July this year, Neha Dhupia took to Instagram and shared the news of her pregnancy with fans with a picture in which she can be seen flaunting her baby bump. “Took us 2 days to come with a caption…The best one we could think of was … Thank you, God. #WaheguruMehrKare.” Angad Bedi also shared the same picture on his Instagram handle and wrote, “New Home production coming soon. Waheguru mehr kare,” she wrote.
The couple welcomed their second child last week and the actress, who is hale and hearty after the smooth delivery process, is currently trying her best to catch up with her routine life.
