Neetu Kapoor Wants Ranbir Kapoor And Riddhima Kapoor Sahni To Be Busy With Their Lives; Reveals Why She Chose To Live Alone After Rishi Kapoor’s Demise

Senior actress Neetu Kapoor, wife of late Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor has been living alone at her residence ever since her husband passed away last year. Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on April 30, in a Mumbai hospital. After Rishi Kapoor’s demise, Neetu Kapoor’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had flown to Mumbai to live with her mother during the lockdown last year. However, the designer returned to her home in Delhi. Neetu Kapoor, who has been living alone at her residence since Rishi Kapoor’s demise, revealed why she doesn’t live with her children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima.
Speaking with Filmfare, Neetu Kapoor shared that the reason why she does not live with Ranbir or Riddhima is that she likes her privacy. She further explained that she wants her children to settle in their respective lives. The actress added that she prefers her kids busy with their life rather than standing on her head. Kapoor added she wants them to live in her heart. The actress said, “I want them to be busy with their lives. I say mere dil mein raho, mere sar pe mat chadho.”
Recalling the time when daughter Riddhima was with her during the lockdown last year, Neetu Kapoor said, “When Riddhima was with me for the pandemic, I was so stressed for one year because she couldn’t go back. I used to get so restless. I used to tell her Riddhima to go back, Bharat is alone. I was literally pushing her away. I like my privacy. I am used to this way of life.”
Kapoor also recalled the time when she used to howl for days when Riddhima was going to London for her education. But years later, the actress shared that she didn’t cry when Ranbir left, because she had gotten used to living away from a child. Neetu Kapoor shared what Ranbir said back then. She said, “He told me, mom you don’t love me. But it isn’t that. It was just that I had gotten used to that life, of living away from a child. So when it happened again, I was prepared. I think those times when they were abroad made me stronger and made me feel that I am okay being alone.”
Meanwhile, on the first death anniversary of Rishi Kapoor, Neetu had penned an emotional note. She said he was an extension of her existence in the heartfelt emotional post. Work-wise, Neetu Kapoor will soon feature in the movie Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
