Neena Gupta Reveals She Often Felt Lonely Because She Didn’t Have A Husband Or Partner For Many Years: ‘My Father Was My Boyfriend’
Neena Gupta is on a roll! The actress has delivered some exceptional performances in her films in the last few years, and her latest film Sardar Ka Grandson starring Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh released yesterday. Apart from her professional life, Neena Gupta is also often in the news for her personal life. In a recent interview, the actress opened up on battling loneliness quite often in her life. She opened up about feeling lonely as she did not have a husband or a boyfriend for the longest time.

In a conversation with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Neena Gupta was asked if she has ever battled loneliness. The actress replied that she has felt lonely very often. “It happened all my life. Because I didn't have a boyfriend or husband for many years. In fact, my father was my boyfriend; he was the man of the house. It has happened when I was disrespected at work,” she said. However, Neena Gupta said that she has overcome that phase, as she does not dwell on the past.

“I've often felt lonely, but God has given me the power that I'm always able to move on. I don't dwell on the past,” she said. Neena Gupta had earlier been in a relationship with cricketer Vivian Richards in the 1980s, and they have a daughter together named Masaba Gupta. The actress is married to Vivek Mehra, and they tied the knot in 2008.
