Nawazuddin Siddiqui Withdraws Defamation Suit Against Aailya Siddiqui? Estranged Wife’s Lawyer Says, ‘Hoping For A Peaceful Settlement Among The Parties’
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s personal life has been ruling the headlines for quite some time now. His estranged wife Aaliya Siddiqui left no stone unturned when it came to washing their dirty laundry on the internet. She documented every inconvenience she and kids Shora and Yoni had to go through. A day after confirming that the couple will be heading for divorce and fighting a custody battle, Aaliya’s lawyer advocate Rizwan Siddiquee has opened up about the new developments.

In an interaction with Hindustan Times, Siddiquee expressed how the couple wants to keep the terms of their settlement private, which includes a lot of other things and “not just the custody of the Children.” He explained that the custody of the kids will always be with Aaliya, since she is their biological mother. Since she has been there with them since their birth, there should be no dispute regarding the custody, says the lawyer. He further adds that Nawaz’s busy schedule is also a factor. Talking about the terms of settlement, Rizwan shared that the actor’s lawyers have sent him a draft proposal on March 25, 2023. He further adds, “We shall be closing the matter soon, if all issues are closed in then interest of all parties concerned, especially the minor children. It is always a moment to appreciate when the parties involved don’t want to fight and settle, especially in matrimonial matters.” ALSO READ: Nawazuddin Siddiqui Seeks Settlement With Estranged Wife Aaliya After Filing Rs 100 Crore Defamation Suit; Decides To Put All Issues Behind For Their Kids-Report

He speaks about how he is “hoping for a peaceful settlement among the parties,” so that it doesn’t affect the well-being of the kids and their future. Siddiquee also spoke about the defamation suit filed against Aaliya by Nawazuddin. He revealed that he hasn’t been served a copy of the same as of yet so he will be ignoring it for the time being. Rizwas further added that based on pure merit, the suit is baseless.

“With the parties agreeing to settle, these things will also be settled, it will be an important part while walking towards settlement,” concluded the lawyer.

For the unversed, the couple has been embroiled in the nasty battle for more than three months now. It all started when Nawaz’s mother filed a case against Aaliya for allegedly trespassing into their home. Aaliya had then accused Nawaz and his mother of domestic violence. She went on to state that they have been  restricting her provision of food, a bed, and a bathroom. She had also shared a video on her social media handle, where she could be seen sleeping on the living room sofa along with her kids.
