Nawazuddin Siddiqui Vouches To Not To Run Behind 'Materialistic Things' In 2021; Feels '2020 Should Not Be Counted As A Year'
The year 2020, for most of us, has been a forgetful one. It all started with an unforeseen pandemic that made us spent almost the entire year locked in our houses, followed by a streak of other disasters as its byproduct. As a consequence of the same, a lot of people have expressed their emotions of not counting this year and hoping that things will take a better turn in 2021, which happens knock our doors soon. Something similar is the case of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who in an interview with Times of India, revealed how he won’t run materialistic things in the upcoming year.

Upon being asked to describe 2020 as a year, Nawaz said, “2020 should not be counted as a year all, it should be completely deducted. As an actor, because my films released on OTT and got a good response, hence the year was good.” As for the things the Sacred Games actor missed the most this year, he added, “As actors most of our life is spent on the sets, shooting, so this year I missed the people, their warmth and energy of the sets. We are used to saying amidst people, so I missed everyone a lot. I understood the value of people, friends and family. I also dearly missed the environment of the sets. We are people-loving and don’t like staying alone at home.”

Well, Nawazuddin’s resolution is both simple, at the same time sensible. Spilling the beans on it, he said, “Thanks to 2020, I have decided not to run behind materialistic things in 2021. This year has taught us that materialistic things are of no use. Life is important, so it is better to respect each day that you live and keep the environment happy. One can live a happy life in very few things also.”

On the work front, Nawazuddin was last seen in Raat Akeli Hai, Ghoomketu and Serious Men among other critically acclaimed projects.
