Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most bankable actors in the Hindi film industry. Having impressed the audiences with his versatile performances, over the years, he is all set to romance actress Avneet Kaur in his upcoming movie Tiku Weds Sheru. While fans were eagerly waiting for the trailer of the movie to be released, they were left highly disappointed as it featured the two actors sharing a lip lock. Many mercilessly trolled the duo as they share a huge gap.
Now in a recent interview with India Today, the 49-year-old actor defended his lip-lock scene with his 21-year-old co-star. Opening up about the backlash, he revealed that romance is ageless. Nawaz pointed out that today’s young men have no romance left which is why a celebrity like Shah Rukh Khan continues to do romantic roles. He added that the current generation lives through social media, may it be loving someone or breaking up with them. Nawazuddin said, “We are from the times when romance was something else. We would be in love and be in 'ishq' for years. Today, Shah Rukh Khan continues to do romantic roles because the young generation is ‘nalli’. They don't know romance.” He went on to add, “Everything today happens on WhatsApp, be it love, or breakup. There is a reason behind this. People who have lived in romance can do romance.
