Nawazuddin Siddiqui had recently blown away everyone with his impressive look in his upcoming movie ‘Haddi’ where he plays dual roles. In the first look, the actor was dressed as a woman, wearing a shimmery grey gown. He also sported a silver ring, bracelet, earrings, long hair, and make-up. Shortly after his look was released on social media, netizens started comparing Nawazuddin to Archana Puran Singh. Now, in a recent interview, the actor has opened up about his comparison with Singh and explained that there was no reference for his look.
Speaking with E-Times, the Manto actor asserted that if he is playing a female character, he needs to think and behave like her. Nawazuddin was quoted as saying, “If I am playing a female character, I need to think like a woman and that’s my test as an actor. Outfit, hair, make-up, yeh sab toh theek hai… that’s not my concern. There are experts to look into it and they know their job. Woh sab baahri cheezen hai and those will be taken care of. My concern is to get the internal thought process right. What do women think? What do they want? An actor’s job is to get into the head of the character he plays.” ALSO READ: Archana Puran Singh REACTS To Trolls Comparing Her To Nawazuddin Siddique In Haddi’s FIRST LOOK: ‘It’s A Huge Compliment’
