On National Doctors' Day, former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen shared a poignant message on Instagram, revealing her second date of birth as February 27, 2023. This date marks the day she experienced a massive heart attack, enduring the toughest 45 minutes of her life. In a heartfelt video, Sushmita recounted the harrowing experience, expressing profound gratitude to the physicians who saved her life. "My life is a story which I have played and lived. There was a major twist in my life story sometime back. The point was when I suffered a massive heart attack. They were the longest 45 minutes of my life. She went on to credit her survival to the dedication and relentless efforts of her doctors. "But it is because of my physicians that my journey continues. They never gave up on me, and they never let me give up. They crafted a new script for my life and pointed me in a new direction. It was my second birthday. I'm dedicated that day and my tale to all physicians," she added. Sushmita's heartfelt tribute underscores the critical role of medical professionals in her miraculous recovery.

At the time of her heart attack, Sushmita was in Jaipur filming the third season of the crime action-thriller series Aarya. The series, created and co-directed by Ram Madhvani and co-produced by Amita Madhvani, Ram Madhvani Films, and Endemol Shine India, marked Sushmita's comeback to the entertainment industry through the OTT space. Her portrayal of a fierce and resilient woman in Aarya mirrors her own strength and determination in real life.




Following Aarya, Sushmita also starred in the biographical drama series Taali, which chronicles the life of transgender activist Shree Gauri Sawant.
