On the occasion of National Doctor’s Day 2020, celebrities Namit Das, Kirti Kulhari, Shashaa Tirupati and Shefali Alvares acknowledged the hard work of doctors by wishing them and also thanking them as well
The day July 1 is celebrated as National Doctor’s Day in the country every year. In India, National Doctor’s Day is celebrated to honour the birth and death anniversary of the great physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. As the country has grown in the medical field with doctors working tirelessly in the time of need for their patients, on the occasion of National Doctor’s Day 2020, celebrities Namit Das, Kirti Kulhari, Shashaa Tirupati and Shefali Alvares honour the hard work of doctors by wishing them.
Actor Namit Das of the web series Aarya wished all doctors who are working constantly during the pandemic situation in the country. Namita Das mentioned that if it was not for the doctors, the world wouldn’t be able to fight the COVID-19 pandemic since the three and a half months and thanked them for being saviours.
Moving on, actress Kirti Kulhari of Four More Shots Please 2 and Mission Mangal wished all the doctors across the world a very ‘Happy Doctor’s Day’. The actress also spoke about how doctors have been a very important part of the society and thanked them for standing in between the people and the virus in the crucial circumstances, fighting the deadly virus. Other than Namit Das and Kirti Kulhari, celebrity singers Shashaa Tirupati and Shefali Alvares also wished doctors on National Doctor’s Day 2020. The popular Indian playback singers thanked the doctors for their efforts on the frontlines during the pandemic. Meanwhile, National Doctor’s Day was established in 1991 by the Government of India, to be celebrated on July 1 every year. Other than this, countries like the United States, Cuba, Iran and Brazil observe Doctor’s day on different dates.
