The number of Coronavirus cases is increasing all around the world, and in the last few months several celebrities too tested positive for COVID-19. Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor had earlier shared that they had contracted the virus and they have recovered from it. Now, Naseeruddin Shah’s son Vivaan Shah has tested positive for Coronavirus. The actor was recently seen in Mira Nair’s series A Suitable Boy along with Tabu and Ishaan Khatter.
A report in ETimes states that Vivaan was showing COVID-19 symptoms last week, and has not been keeping well since then. He took a COVID-19 test and the result came back positive. Vivaan told ETimes, “Yes, I am not well as I have tested positive for Covid-19.” The report states that the actor is taking rest and is following all the norms to fight against Coronavirus. We wish Vivaan a speedy recovery.
Vivaan had made his debut in Bollywood with Vishal Bharadwaj's film ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ starring Priyanka Chopra, in which he played the role of Arun Kumar. He was then seen in the 2014 film Happy New Year which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Sonu Sood, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Boman Irani. Vivaan has been roped in for another project titled Coat.
Vivaan Shah is the son of Ratna Pathak Shah and Naseeruddin Shah. He had once said in an interview that he made it on his own in the film industry. In a 2017 interview with PTI, Vivaan had said, “I have made it on my own without using the name of my family. It would have been more difficult for me to get work if I was an outsider and the film industry would not even know anything about me.”
