Nana Patekar Goes Salt And Pepper

The stage is set for Prakash Raaj's Hindi directorial debut. The villain of Dabangg 2 will wield the megaphone for a remake of Salt and Pepper, Nana Patekar will head the cast.

Prakash Raaj has already directed three versions of Aashiq Abu's Malyalam film Salt and Pepper- Oggarane (Kannada), Un Samayal Arayil (Tamil) and Ulavacharu Biryani (Telugu). The Tamil and the Telugu versions didn't set the cash registers running, while Oggarane was a runaway blockbuster.

A source close to the development says, "Nana has consented for the role in the Hindi remake. Prakash Raaj and he had a couple of meetings. The modalities are fast being worked out."

The film will go on floors in June/July 2015.
