Mrunal Thakur took to Instagram to share that she tested positive for COVID-19
Mrunal Thakur has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The actress recently took to Instagram to inform her fans that she was isolating after testing positive for COVID-19. She also revealed that she has mild symptoms and is following all instructions of the doctors. Mrunal further urged her fans to stay safe.
In a statement, she wrote, "I have tested positive for COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I'm feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested immediately. Stay safe everyone!" The actress had been busy promoting Jersey. However, post the increase in COVID cases, several state governments imposed curbs which included shutting down of cinemas in a few places. Due to this, Jersey was postponed for a later date.
A statement shared by the film's team about the postponement read, "In view of the current circumstances and new covid guidelines we have decided to postpone the theatrical release of our film Jersey. We have received immense love from you all so far and want to thank you all for everything. Until then everyone please stay safe and healthy, and wishing you all the best for the new year ahead!! Team Jersey!!"
Talking about Jersey, Shahid plays a former cricketer who returns to the game for the sake of his son. The film which also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Mrunal Thakur, is directed by Gowtam Tinnauri. Jersey is a remake of the 2019 Telugu film of the same name directed by Gowtam.
