Moushumi Chatterjee Denied Access To Comatose Daughter, Moves Court
Moushumi Chatterjee has been away from films for quite some time,  as she was last seen in the critically acclaimed, Piku. She is back in the news but for a very sad reason. She has approached the Bombay High Court because she has been denied access to her own daughter, by her son-in-law. According to a PTI report, Moushumi has moved the court asking them to direct her son-in-law to let her tend to her daughter.

Senior counsel Beni Chatterjee, appearing for the actor, mentioned the petition before a division bench of Justices B P Dharmadhikari and S V Kotwal. PTI further reported that the hearing for the case will happen on Saturday. Meanwhile, the court has also asked Moushumi's son-in-law, Dicky Mehta to file his response.

Dicky and Payal got married in 2010. Soon afterwards, Payal suffered from a serious illness. She was admitted to a hospital in 2017 where her mother and family members met her and took care of her.

However, things changed a few months ago when Mehta and his family got Payal discharged from the hospital, who is in a comatose state. Since then, she has been receving treatment at their Khar residence. According to PTI, Moushumi now claims that ever since Payal was discharged, neither she nor any of her family members were allowed to meet her.
