Massive FIRE Breaks Out On Sets Of Ranbir Kapoor And Shraddha Kapoor's Film; One Killed In The Incident, Makers Face Huge Loss-Report
On Friday, a massive fire broke out on the sets of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s film at Chitrakoot Grounds in suburban Andheri West. Reportedly, the sets of a Rajshri Production film were gutted in the level 2 fire. One person was killed in the fire incident on the sets. Confirming the same, Dr. Sadaphule from Cooper Hospital, stated that the 32-year-old male was brought dead. A few crew members have been injured in the fire incident.

Photos and videos of black smoke blowing in the air from the location were shared on social media. It is being said that the makers have also suffered a huge loss due to this fire incident. Many expensive shooting essentials and equipment stored on the ground have been burned down. The fire reportedly started in a temporary pandal, where some wooden items were kept. Boney Kapoor, who plays an important role in Luv's upcoming untitled movie, shared an update on the same and revealed that everyone was okay. He stated, “Everyone’s okay. By God's grace there have been no casualties. Only lightning work was going on today. Everyone was preparing for tomorrow’s shoot. Shooting was to take place on this set tomorrow.” 

On the other hand, Ranbir, who plays the main lead in the film, was unaware of this fire incident. The Rockstar actor told ETimes that he did not know what happened and that he was assuming it to be a short circuit.

Meanwhile, in the wake of this incident, the shooting of the film has been halted for the next few days. Luv Ranjan’s directorial had earlier got delayed due to Covid- 19 pandemic. After multiple delays, the makers have announced that the film will release in cinemas on Holi, March 8, 2023.
