Tamil actor Mansoor Ali Khan faced public outrage due to his controversial 'rape' comment directed at actress Trisha, prompting the Chennai Police to book him. Subsequently, he has disappeared, with reports suggesting he's gone underground. The controversy erupted when a video of Mansoor making suggestive remarks about Trisha went viral, expressing a desire for a "rape scene" with her similar to his past encounters with other actresses. Following this, the National Commission for Women urged the Thousand Lights All-Women Police to charge Mansoor under Sections 354 A (sexual harassment) and 509 (outraging the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code. His whereabouts remain unknown as his house is locked, and his phone is switched off. He was due to appear before the Chennai police regarding his derogatory remarks against Trisha, but he's currently missing. Meanwhile, his lawyer filed for anticipatory bail. Trisha publicly criticized Mansoor's remarks, describing them as "sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive, and in bad taste." Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi, singer Chinmayi Sripada, and others rallied in support of Trisha. Despite the backlash, Mansoor Ali Khan has refused to apologize, insisting that his comments were taken out of context and were potentially manipulated, possibly tied to his upcoming film release and speculations about entering politics.

In Kanagaraj's film Leo, Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan were cast, sharing the screen with Sanjay Dutt. The movie notably included Mansoor Ali Khan portraying a death row convict.
