Bollywood filmmaker and Mandira Bedi’s husband Raj Kaushal's sudden demise came as a shock for the entire film industry. The actress was inconsolable at his last rites. But she has been gathering strength to get back to work. She says all her energy now is directed towards ensuring she is a good parent to her two children.
Talking to PTI, Mandira Bedi said her children -- son Vir (10) and daughter Tara (five) -- mean the world to her. "My motivation to keep working, striving and doing better... My greatest motivation is my children. Everything I do, I do for them. They are my reason to carry on, my reason to live, to do better, to be better. They are the reason that I have courage, strength, the reason for me to earn. I need to be a good parent for them," she added.
Earlier, on August 15, Mandira shared an unseen picture with her late husband and penned a heartwarming note on his birth anniversary. Sharing the photo, she wrote in her caption, "5th August: Was always a celebration. Independence Day. and Rajs Birthday.. Happy Birthday Raji.. we miss you and hope that you are watching us and have our backs like you always did.. The gaping void will never be filled. Here’s hoping you’re in a better place. Peaceful and surrounded by love.."
Mandira Bedi found fame with hit TV shows like Shanti, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and 24. She has also worked in films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. She was last seen in the anthology Dus Kahaniyaan. She has also hosted ICC Cricket World Cups in the years 2003 and 2007, the Champions Trophies in the years 2004 and 2006, and the Indian Premier League season 2.
