Actor Mandira Bedi’s husband Raj Kaushal is no more. He passed away due to cardiac arrest. Mandira and Kaushal tied the knot in 1991. Raj Kaushal was an Indian director, producer who was active during the latye 90s and mid 2000. He has directed 2006 film ‘Anthony Kaun Hai’. The filmmaker has also directed and produced 1999 film ‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’, 2004 film ‘Shaadi Ka Laddoo’. Apart from that, Raj Kaushal has produced the 2005 film ‘My Brother… Nikhil’.
According to a report in Amar Ujala, Raj Kaushal suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this morning. Taking to Twitter, Mandira Bedi’s Shanti co-star Rohit Roy offered his condolences and expressed his grief. He made a tweet and wrote, “This is unbelievable…. Numb with grief and shock One of our closest …….” Rohit called the news about the sad demise: ‘unbelievable’. He said he is number with grief and shocked. Roy mentioned he lost ‘one of the closest’. Filmmaker Onir confirmed the news about Raj Kaushal’s demise in a tweet on Wednesday. He tweeted, “Gone too soon. We lost Filmmaker and Producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very Sad. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul (sic)”
As per an online Instagram post, Raj Kaushal was well in fact. The report mentioned that the late filmmaker also met with his friends Zaheer Khan, Neha Dhupia and Aashish Chaudhary last Sunday for lunch.
Raj Kaushal is survived by his wife, actress Mandira Bedi and two kids.
