Mamta Kulkarni Declared Absconding In Rs 2000 Crore Drug Case
Thane Sessions Court has declared that Mamta Kulkarni and her partner Vicky Goswami are offenders in the ephedrine drug haul case
Mamta Kulkarni, the ‘90s sex symbol who vanished from the spotlight and
then reportedly married international drug kingpin Vicky Goswami, is in trouble
again.
The Thane Sessions Court has declared Mamta Kulkarni and Vicky Goswami
as absconding in the Rs 2000 crore ephedrine drug haul.

On April 13, 2016, the police arrested two drug peddlers, Sagar Suresh
Powale and Mayur Suresh Sukhdare, with Ephedrine worth Rs 12 lakh and later
busted a racket worth Rs 2,000 crore at a factory in Solapur.
Till now, 14 people have been arrested in the case, while five accused
are abroad, including Mamta Kulkarni.
The Thane District Court had earlier issued non-bailable warrants
against Vicky Goswami and Mamta.

The name of the duo surfaced in connection to the charge sheet and now
the duo has been declared absconding.
Bharat Shelkhe, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Thane, earlier told a
leading daily: “We have a lot of evidence against Mamta Kulkarni. The other
accused have not only confessed to the crime but have also revealed Kulkarni’s
part in the case. We also found that she was to be made the director of the
company’s branch in Solapur and that she was present in almost all the
meetings”.
