Malaika Arora may not divorce Arbaaz Khan

Here’s the latest on the Malaika Arora-Arbaaz Khan split.

Word in the industry is that the Chhaiyya Chhaiyya girl might not seek divorce from Arbaaz.

We hear, Malaika feels that if she does sign the divorce papers, she will lose the privileges that come from being a part of the Khan-daan.

So Malaika will probably not take legal recourse but remain separated from Arbaaz. She is, however, yet to take a final decision.   



Buzz is, Seema Khan who is having trouble in her marriage with Sohail Khan will also follow suit.

There have been many Bollywood couples who have taken a similar decision in the past.

Farhan Akhtar-Adhuna (married in 2000):


The couple announced their separation in January this year. However, we hear they have mutually decided not to take the legal route.

Pulkit Samrat-Shweta Rohira (married in 2014):


The actor and his wife split in November last year after Pulkit allegedly got involved with his Sanam Re co-star Yami Gautam. Shweta’s rakhi brother Salman Khan too tried to patch the duo but to no avail. Despite staying separately for the last 5 months, neither of the two has knocked on a lawyer’s door for divorce.    

Aditi Rao Hydari-Satyadeep Mishra (married in 2008):


The actress got married to Satyadeep in 2008 but separated soon after. She kept her marriage and the subsequent separation under wraps once she forayed into Bollywood and opened up about it only in 2013, in an interview with a daily. Despite their separation, the two continue to be good friends.

Mahima Chaudhary-Bobby Mukherjee (married in 2006):

Mahima separated from her architect husband in 2011 citing incompatibility. It has been 5 years since the two parted ways but neither has initiated divorce proceedings.

Rajesh Khanna-Dimple Kapadia (married in 1973):


The superstar married the then 16-year-old Dimple in 1973. 9 years and two kids (Twinkle and Rinke) later, the couple called it quits. While the duo never considered reconciliation, they did not seek divorce either. In fact, Dimple was by Rajesh’s side in his last days.

Randhir Kapoor-Babita (married in 1971):


The couple parted ways in 1988 after 17 years of togetherness. Even today, the couple lives separately but are often spotted together at social dos.

Gulzar-Rakhee (married in 1973):


The director-actress couple ended their marriage after a year itself. No divorce for them – the two continue to be good friends till date and even go on family holidays together.

Om Puri-Nandita (married in 1993):


Om Puri was livid when Nandita revealed his sexual liaisons in her biography Unlikely Hero: The Story Of Om Puri. While he accused her of tarnishing his image, she accused him of domestic violence. After washing their dirty linen in public, the two split in 2013 but haven’t divorced yet.
