Major: Adivi Sesh To Resume The Shoot Of His Pan-India film In July
Adivi Sesh had begun shooting for his much-awaited and talked about film Major which also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar  Prakash Raj, and Revathi among others. However, due to the 2nd wave of Covid-19, the shooting had come to a halt. Though the makers have completed 80% of the shoot before the lockdown a small portion of filming is pending. Today taking to his social media handle Adivi revealed that the shoot of his most ambitious project will resume in July. Sharing a picture with his producer Sharath he wrote, “When we began #MajorTheFilm last year :) #Chitkul was never colder. But brilliant visuals and amazing people led to great memories. Can’t wait to start filming in July. An Epic Story inspired by the life of #MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan :) @SharathWho .”

Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka the teaser of the film which was released in April this year got an overwhelming response. It was earlier scheduled to release worldwide on 2 July, however it was postponed to a later date. In May the makers released a statement stating that they would announce a new release date once things are back to normal. Major is based on the life of Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who helped save lives during the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai in 2008.

Much before its release, the overseas rights of the film have already been sold for a whopping price. The film is produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S movies.
