Telugu actor Adivi Sesh, who is entering Bollywood with his upcoming pan-India film Major, based on the life of NSG Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan speaks about Sandeep’s parents reaction to the recently released teaser
Adivi Sesh is a household name from the Telugu movie industry, all set to enter Bollywood with his upcoming pan-India film, Major, also featuring Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj and Revathy. The film is based on the life of NSG Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who sacrificed his life during the infamous 26/11 attacks at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai to save multiple hostages.
Recently, Sesh unveiled the teaser of Major to the world. At the event, when asked about the reaction of Sandeep’s parents towards the teaser, the actor had informed that he hadn’t had the chance to show it to them yet. Now, with a considerable amount of time already passed to it, Sesh shares how Sandeep’s parents reacted to the teaser. “Uncle told me he had a lot of complaints with me after the teaser. When I asked him what he didn’t like, he said he didn’t like the colour of my shirt in the event,” he laughs. Sesh goes on to inform that apart from that, Sandeep’s parents had no complaints. “I told them that it was very important for me that they like whatever it is I do with this film. When I asked uncle if he had any problem with the teaser, he said absolutely not and I was happy. It’s fine if he has a problem with Sesh, but Sandeep se nahi honi chahiye,” he asserts. The actor adds that Sandeep’s parents are the first audience for him with this film. “I feel like a fourth grader trying to make my parents happy with my marks. That’s what it feels like,” he quips. Ever since Sesh started working on the film, he has maintained a strong relationship with Sandeep’s parents. He has even referred to them as his second parents many times. Ask him about his bond with the Unnikrishnan’s and he says, “How close I am to them is something uncle and aunty should say. I love them with all of my heart.”
The Telugu actor asserts that these are the small things that prove how comfortable Sandeep’s parents are getting with him. “The fact that uncle has comments on my attire, it means that he has accepted me as his own. When I told him that he was scolding me a lot, he said that’s how he treats family. With them, everything just comes naturally that comes just with family and I am trying to live up to that. I don’t want to be just words,” Sesh signs off.
