Alia Bhatt is scaling great heights on the career front, and she continues to enjoy a massive fan following on social media. In a career spanning over nine years, the actress has come a really long way with her sheer hard work and talent. Earlier this year, Alia ventured into production as she announced her production house - ‘Eternal Sunshine Productions’.
Without a doubt, her parents - Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan - are proud of their daughter owing to her success in recent years.
In a recent interview with Elle magazine, filmmaker and a proud father, Mahesh Bhatt has praised his daughter Alia for her achievements, hard work, determination, and said that “she is not an extension of her parents."
Mahesh Bhatt elaborated, “She is a fire of her own. Although I was a filmmaker, we always lived on the edge of the industry. Our home was not a hub for film parties. I made films to make a living, and these are the things that have gone into Alia’s consciousness. She works with ferocity and focus, but she also has deep empathy."
The filmmaker pointed out, "The world is full of spectators because it takes a lot of courage to be a performer. I have great respect for those who make films, take whatever comes their way, and then get up and start all over again. This is especially true for those who scale the dizzying heights of success when they’re so young.”
He continued, “One minute Alia was the little girl who was putting cream on daddy’s feet for ₹500, and in two years she had made more money than I ever did in my 50 years as a filmmaker."
Alia Bhatt made her debut with Karan Johar's teenage romance drama, Student of the Year in the year 2012. She had earlier made an appearance as a child actor in Sangharsh in 1999. Alia's stellar work has been appreciated in all her movies - especially Highway, 2 States, Raazi, Dear Zindagi, Udta Punjab and Kalank.
