Mahesh Anand Death: Rum Bottle And Glass Found Beside Him On Bed
Mahesh Anand reportedly had a drinking problem and was living alone. While the reason behind the actor's death is unclear, we await the autopsy report from Cooper Hospital where the post-mortem is currently in progress. However, talking to SpotboyE.com last night, Senior PI  from Versova Police Station, Ravinder Badgujar  revealed, "Mahesh was found dead on his bed. A half-filled rum bottle and a glass also was found beside him. We think he drank just before he passed away. Whether that led to his death is still not known.

When asked how it was discovered that he was dead,  Badgujar  said that Mahesh Anand's maid had informed them that he was neither opening the door nor responding to her calls."That sounded fishy and we sensed something might be wrong inside the flat. She had seen him alive before leaving, so we assume that he died between the hours that she left him until his body was found in a lifeless state by the police."

It is believed that Mahesh Anand was under severe financial distress since he was virtually out of work since nearly 18 years. Mahesh Anand was last seen in Pahlaj Nihalani's Rangeela Raja (starring Govinda, Mishika, Shakti Kapoor) and has several hits to his credit- before he was ignored by Bollywood. A source says, "It is not easy to survive for anybody without money. It was constantly hitting Mahesh Anand that Bollywood had forgotten him. He was quite a reserved guy, so he didn't contact too many filmmakers for redemption." Upon his return when Nihalani signed him, Mahesh Anand had himself called up journalists that he is back to work, but guess the happiness was short-lived. Rangeela Raja went on floors last year, but Mahesh Anand did not get any work after that. And it did not take long for him to realise that 'Happy days are not here again'.
