Made In China Box Office Collection Day 1: Rajkummar Rao And Mouni Roy's Film Takes A Dull Start, Blame It On Competitor Housefull 4
Made In China starring Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy released yesterday, however, it failed to keep up with the buzz. At the box office, the film had a very poor opening. It could be because it had very strong competition from Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol and others starrer Housefull 4. Even Saandh Ki Aankh starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar made it to the theatres on the same day.

As per Box Office India, Made In China managed to mind only Rs 1 crore on the opening day. These are early estimates, however, not a great jump is expected in the final numbers. On the other hand, Housefull 4, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala had a bumper opening as compared to the other two films.  It collected approximately Rs 19 crore at the box office on day one, as reported. Saandh Ki Aankh was worse than Made In China as it raked in only Rs 50 lakh.

One can also blame the Diwali festivities for the poor numbers. It was Dhanteras yesterday and a lot of people were busy celebrating the occasion. Another reason why Made In China and Saandh Ki Aankh did not work at the box office could be because they have a very limited number of screens as compared to Housefull 4.

Now, let's see what happens over the coming days. Being Diwali, the weekend has been extended to four days and movie buffs may flock the theatres. Fingers crossed for Made In China as it has received good reviews from the critics.
