Lisa Ray is one of the brave cancer-survivors of B-Town and constantly motivates fans by sharing her story. The actor-turned-author came out with her autobiography Close To The Bone this year which speaks about her difficult, brave and strong story of a cancer survivor and her battle against the dreadful disease. Amidst the severe air pollution in the national capital, Delhi, the actress took to her Instagram to share a picture of alarming fans about the condition in the city. As Lisa was in Delhi attending an event on Sunday, she shared details on her battle with cancer and how her doctor was scared as she didn’t react despite being told the disease was incurable and fatal.

Actor-Author Lisa Ray was recently in Delhi on Sunday and shared pictures on her social media sporting a mask as she protected herself from the severe air pollution problem in the national capital. On Sunday, while speaking at the Sahitya AajTak 2019 event, Lisa opened up about her cancer diagnosis and how she dealt with it. The author shared how her doctor was scared for her because after he announced about having multiple myeloma, she did not react even though it was incurable and fatal. Lisa shared that how in her mind she was thinking that her body was trying to give her signals for months that she constantly kept on ignoring. As she did not have any courage to do anything, Lisa shared how she ignored that her body was telling her as she was trained to do so. Later, Lisa went to add how in her profession, one cannot leave for home when you're sick and shared that you just pop medicines and get on with work. Speaking of how she finally decided to stop and listen to her body and heal and make changes, Lisa Ray shared that she realized it was her time of reckoning. She went on to share how she was sure it was not going to be an easy journey and that she knew it wasn’t the end for her and knew that she wasn’t going to die.


Ray also shared that she was in a car accident after she shot for her first modelling portfolio while on her vacation in Mumbai and spoke on how she was saved and shared how she could not deal with the trauma of the accident she was in.


Meanwhile, Lisa Ray also shared more about her career as a model and an actor and her battle with cancer, her brave victory over the deadly disease and lots more. Lisa Ray was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2009 and was announced cancer-free after a stem cell transplant. The ‘Close To The Bone’ author is married to Jason Dehni and the couple tied the knot in 2012. Jason and Lisa are blessed with two beautiful twin daughters Sufi and Soleil via surrogacy.
