Kumar Sanu, who has been less active in Bollywood in the recent past, will make his acting debut in Sharat Katariya's Dum Lagake Haisha starring Ayushmann Khuranna and newbie Bhumi Pednekar.
SpotboyE.com has it that Sanu has an important cameo in the film where he plays himself.
Confirming this, Sanu says, “Ayushmann plays a cassette seller and a huge fan of my voice. I shot for my part in Hardwar."
Added the Padma Shri singer, "I have also sung two songs in the film."
Sanu has enjoyed his first brush with acting. "I was asked to dig out a jacket of that era from my wardrobe. They also asked me to go heavy on accessories because they were in vogue at that time. It was fun."
Dum Laga Ke Haisha, produced by Yash Raj Films, hits the theatres on February 27.
