Indian Film and Televsion industry has lost two of its greatest treasures, in the last two days, and third one has also started on an extremely sorrowful note.    

Kulmeet Makkar, CEO, Film & Television Producers Guild, is no more with us. He died of a cardiac arrest, this morning. He was in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, since the lockdown was announced.

We spoke to his good friend and the Vice President of the Guild, Manish Goswami (Siddhant Cinevison, noted producer of Kitty Party fame), who told us that it's extremely shocking for him to beleive that Kulmeet is dead. 

"I can't beleive it. We just spoke last evening at 5 pm. He went for his usual morning walk today, came back and collapsed. And he was gone," said Goswami with a heavy voice.

Manish further added how Kulmeet was the face of the guild and was carrying it on his shoulders efficently. Goswami said, "He was my friend, my guide, the backbone of the guild. My association with him is since 12-14 years. Past 6 weeks, he is in Dharamshala but he has been constantly working from there. We were constantly holding webinars with studios and multiplexes together."

It's been more than three decades that Kulmeet served in the entertainment industry. He took over as the CEO of the Guild in 2010. Before that he has worked with Saregama and Reliance Entertainment as founder CEO of Big Music & Home Entertainment.
