Krystle D’Souza Backs Chehre Co-Star Rhea Chakraborty; Says ‘My Heart Goes Out To Her, Hope I Could Stand Up For Her A Little More’
Krystle D’Souza has backed her Chehre co-star Rhea Chakraborty. She feels bad to have seen Rhea in a difficult position
Actor Rhea Chakraborty has been in the hot waters since late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s family accused her of abetment to suicide and misappropriation of his funds. Even though the court did not give a verdict in Rhea’s case, people had already considered her to be guilty. A few stars like Sonam Kapoor, Shibani Dandekar, Farhan Akhtar, Shweta Bachchan, Anusha Dandekar, Vidya Balan, and Taapsee Pannu among others, however, came out in open to stand in solidarity with Rhea - who was a victim of witch-hunting and was vilified by the public.
Now, actor Krystle D’Souza has also come out in support of her Chehre co-star Rhea Chakraborty. She feels bad to have seen Rhea in a difficult position and wished to stand up for her a little more. Speaking with Koimoi, Krystle said, “My heart goes out to Rhea (Chakraborty) to be very honest. Anybody in her place, I don’t know how they would go through what she has gone through. She is still staying strong. I don’t know if anyone who could have even lasted this whole situation that was created could have ended a family. It’s not easy what she and her family were put up with. Hats off to her, hats off to all the women out there that fight for themselves, stand up for themselves.”
Krystle added, "I hope I could stand up for her a little more, but it did not happen because you know everything happened so suddenly. More than anything this pandemic hit all of us personally that were going through so much in our own lives that standing up for another person was becoming difficult at that point...I don’t know how that girl did it, but hats off to her.”
Rhea Chakraborty was interrogated multiple times by CBI, ED and NCB after SSR’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against her in Bihar. The actor was arrested by NCB but was later granted bail after spending 28 days in custody.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14, 2020, after allegedly hanging himself at his Bandra residence. After the death, three government federal agencies started the probe.
