Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, reportedly, are all set to get married this week. The couple, who fell in love during the shoot of their film Brahmāstra, will walk down the aisle in an intimate ceremony with just family members and close friends in attendance. A few days ago, Mahesh Bhatt's half-brother Robin Bhatt had confirmed the news of the couple’s wedding and said they will get married on April 14. The actress’ Mehendi will take place on April 13. But do you know that Ranbir-Alia had once planned their grand overseas marriage?

Yes, you read that right! According to the latest report in ETimes, Alia and Ranbir back in 2020 had planned a grand marriage overseas and they decided to have special wedding functions at Alia's Panvel farmhouse. But due to the pandemic and several other factors, the duo changed their plans and opted for a low-key affair. Meanwhile, several videos from the wedding preparations have hit the internet and in one the Kapoor family's RK Studios is seen illuminated with lights. Krishna Raj bungalow, which is said to be currently under construction, has been beautifully decorated with LED string lights.

In an interview with Aaj Tak, Alia’s half-brother, Rahul Bhatt revealed that he is invited to the couple’s wedding and he will be attending it. He also spoke about the security arrangements planned at the wedding venue and said 200 English-speaking non-smoking bouncers will be deployed at the function. Yusuf Bhai, who is the owner of Mumbai's best security force, the 9/11 agency, will take care of all security arrangements at Ranbir and Alia’s wedding. 



Rahul also mentioned that the guards will be stationed at both RK Studio and Vastu, bungalow. The security team will also get drones for the function. “I will also look after the security and fulfill the duty of a brother. Both the families wanted guards with good presentable personality. They must be diplomatic, speak english, be polite and non-smokers,” he was quoted saying.
