KESARI FIRST LOOK: Akshay Kumar’s FIERCE Eyes See Through You

Akshay Kumar has begun shooting for his upcoming film Kesari. The actor a few minutes back, took to his Twitter account and shared the news with fans along with a picture of him in his character.

“Feeling nothing but immense pride and gratitude while sharing this. Beginning my 2018 with #KESARI, my most ambitious film and a lot of passion. Need your best wishes as always. @dharmamovies @iAmAzure @SinghAnurag79,” he tweeted.

Karan Johar, too, shared the look on Twitter and wrote, "Exceptionally excited about #KESARI...the BRAVEST story ever told....we begin our journey today... we seek your love and blessings....@akshaykumar @SinghAnurag79 @iAmAzure @apoorvamehta18."

Must say that the actor looks intense and fierce donning a turban. Akki has earlier played a sikh in films like Singh is King and Singh Is Bling, Akshay Kumar will be shooting for the film in the outskirts of Mumbai. Based on the battle of Saragarhi, he will essay the role of Havildar Ishar Singh.

A few months ago, Akshay Kumar had shared the news of his collaboration with Karan Johar.

Even before this big announcement, the film had its fair share of controversies. Kesari was said to be a joint venture between Salman Khan Films and Dharma Productions. However, Salman backed out, and that's when Akshay came onboard as the co-producer.

Interestingly, the battle of Saragarhi has been a bone of contention between Akshay, Ajay Devgn and Randeep Hooda with all three wanting to make a film on the same subject.

As of now Akshay is geared up for the release of Pad Man. The fill will release a day earlier which is touted to be a smart move by the makers.

Coming back to Kesari, directed by Anurag Singh, will hit theatres on Holi 2019.
