After Katrina Kaif exited from Vikas Bahl’s comedy film, Kriti Sanon has stepped into her shoes to play the female lead, say the reports

Filmmaker Vikas Bahl is having a hard time finalising the leading lady for his next untitled comedy. Katrina Kaif was earlier finalised to play the leading lady, but as the filmmaker received backlash during the #MeToo campaign who got  accused of sexual harassment by one of his former employees, the Bharat actress reportedly stepped out of the project. Now as per reports in Peepingmoon.com, Kriti Sanon is said to have given a nod to the film. Finally allowing Vikas Bahl to heave a sigh of relief. 

Tentatively titled as Deadly, it will see the Panipat actress in a hilarious role having multiple layers to her onscreen character; this comedy drama revolves around a funeral. Meanwhile, though the actress has reportedly given a verbal go ahead, she is yet to sign the deal, as makers are still finalising on her fees and the shooting dates. It is also said the makers are not yet confirmed about the shooting dates but are most likely to get the film on floors in January 2021. 

It also stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan as Kriti Sanon’s onscreen father.

Before the Luka Chuppi actress gets going with this project she already has 3 films in her kitty. While Second Innings was supposed to go floors in March it got pushed ahead with the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, Bachchan Pandey will go on floors in December 2020 as per reports.
