Katrina Kaif Walks Out Of Varun Dhawan's Dance Film, Stays Busy With Salman Khan's Bharat

Fresh reports suggest that Katrina Kaif has walked out of Remo DSouza's dance flick ABCD3 that featured her opposite Varun Dhawan.

Her spokesperson has released an official statement, “Katrina Kaif had to opt out of Remo D'Souza's upcoming dance film owing to her hectic schedule for Bharat. Katrina has always been a thorough professional .She decided to step out of the film as her dates were clashing with Bharat, which she is currently shooting for."

Katrina had kept a Christmas bash at her residence recently that was attended by the two big Khans of Bollywood, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. After a decade, they came together at Katrina’s house and danced like no one’s business. Katrina who was last seen in Zero had engaged in an exclusive conversation with SpotboyE.com, ahead of the film’s release.

She had made her apprehensions evident around actresses being sidelined during promotions as compared to their male counterparts. She said, “Let me tell you something. Recently, I have been part of interviews where I'm sitting with my co-actor who is a male and the interviewer who was a journalist is not even acknowledging me. A, I'm a known face, B, I'm a woman that's fine. Whatever it is that discrimination, I mean we are not talking about sexual discrimination. We actresses feel that a lot. There have been many press conferences where you sit on the dais with a male actor, who maybe a leading superstar that's fine. We all give each other the respect that they deserve but people will not even acknowledge the woman on the platform. I have seen this so many times, in fact I even spoke about this to one of the emcees on the stage that you know at the next press conference I really want to address this because it's uncalled for. It doesn't make any sense to me. It's kind of segregation. It's like a mindset. I don't think even the audience does that, it's just the mindset. I don't think it is intentional. It is just the incidental mindset that there is a male star on-stage, so naturally the female star becomes a little peripheral.”

Interview

Speaking of the movie Zero, SpotboyE rated it 3.5 stars, but the box office report hasn’t been as impressive as one would have expected it to be. Next in the pipeline for Katrina is Salman Khan-starrer Bharat.
