Talk about friendly exes! When Katrina Kaif debuted on Instagram, Salman Khan sent out a message to his 9.6 million followers asking them to welcome his Tiger Zinda Hai co-star
She stayed away from social media for the longest but Katrina Kaif has finally
joined Instagram. The Bollywood hottie who had joined Facebook just a few
months ago, is now on Instagram.
The actress
received a warm welcome from the fans and has amassed 254k followers within an
hour.
Within minutes of
her Instagram debut, Katrina Kaif’s Tiger Zinda Hai co-star and ex-boyfriend
welcomed her on Instagram with a post on his own page where he asked his 9.6
million followers to follow her.
For years the
actress has kept her distance from the world of social Media and had stressed
on keeping her personal life under the wraps, while her contemporaries like
Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez have millions of
followers on the platform.
Making a grand
entrance, the actress uploaded her first ever Instagram post with the caption
“New beginnings..coming from my happy place #helloinstagram (sic).”
Talking about
joining Instagram, Katrina said: “I managed to get the handle @KatrinaKaif.
However, it will be something unusual especially since I will be doing a kind
of fun candid event on the platform with an international team from Instagram
that will be in the city today.”
Katrina Kaif and
Salman Khan will be seen together in Tiger Zinda Hai which is slated to release
on 22nd December.
UPDATE: It looks like Katrina wants to break the internet. Just hours after she joined Instagram, Katrina posted a risque image of herself, wearing nothing but a towel. We are definitely impressed!
