Karan Johar To Announce His Next Production Venture Based On “Fear”
This evening, Karan Johar made an announcement around his upcoming venture which is going to be a franchise on fear. "Dharma Productions is anchoring a new franchise of fear. 15th November, 2019. Sea (sic) you soon!" read the announcement. Sharing the picture on Instagram, KJo wrote, “Film announcement on Monday! STAY TUNED! @apoorva1972 @bhanu.singh.91 @shashankkhaitan @dharmamovies”

The fact that the film will be based around fear makes us wonder if it’s going to be a horror comedy with Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar in it. Reports were rife earlier this year that the actors would star in a film together which would be a horror comedy. Meanwhile, check out Johar’s post below:

The last few films haven’t worked in KJo’s favour. Recently, Karan even opened up on the failure of Kalank. Speaking with DNA, the filmmaker said, "I failed the movie by not being the right governing force. And this taught me so much. There are two ways I could have gone about this. I could have sunk in this failure or I could have questioned, ‘Why?’ Or I could have said, ‘Why did this happen and let me learn from this.’ Let this be a new 2.0 feeling where I am a lot more analytical. I am putting my projects through a lot more trials and tribulations before it is out there to an audience. When you fail and learn from it, that to me is a success. I will never look at Kalank as a failure. I will look at it as a success because it has taught me how not to fail like this.”

Next, he has the multi-starrer Takht which stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor. Recently, the film was being compared to SLB movies as the director has mastered the art of period films. Addressing these questions, KJo had said, "I have been asked that and other such questions. While I am a huge fan of SLB, as someone who loves his work, I understand that he has set the benchmark already. However, I am hoping that what I do with Takht will be completely individualistic. Takht will have its own energy and charm."
