Karan Johar Remembers Father Yash Johar On His Death Anniversary
On the death anniversary of his father Yash Johar, Karan Johar remembers him by sharing one advice that his late father had given him
Karan Johar, who marked his directorial debut with 1998 hit film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, remembered his late father Yash Johar on his death anniversary. Karan shared a picture of father and penned down a heartfelt note with it. . The caption read, ”He said to me once....” people need people...you have to be there for people because one day you will need them to stand by you....” I try papa! I fail...I succeed ....but I always try.....”
Karan has received lots of support from several Bollywood celebrities reacting to his post. Vishal Dadlani, Malaika Arora, Ekta Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Manish Malhotra, and several other celebs have reacted on the producer's post on Instagram. Vishal Dadlani's post read,” You do far more than most, @karanjohar, and those of us you have helped (perhaps even unknowingly), remember that well. You will always have people standing by you, because of what he taught you and the legacy of kindness that he left you. He'd be proud.”
Talking about Karan Johar, the producer has several films lined up, which are set to hit the theatres this year under the banner of Dharma Productions. The producer will mark his directorial comeback with the film Takht, a multi-starrer period drama, which will star Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in lead roles. The initial release of the film is December 2020.
Yash Johar founded the prestigious Dharma Productions in 1976 and pioneered the concept of having lavish sets and exotic locations for his films while also upholding Indian values, customs, and traditions. The last film of the late producer was Kal Ho Naa Ho which starred Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. He passed away at the age of 74 on June 26, 2004.
