Karan Johar: I Am More Of A Mother Than A Father To My Kids
At the India Today Conclave in Mumbai this afternoon, Karan Johar opened up a lot about his personal life and his professional life. However, the most talked about point were his newly born twins. When asked about who the mother of the babies were, Karan candidly said that he is more of a mother than a father to his kids.

"Seeing them (the twins) and holding them; it was one of the most surreal and overwhelming experiences of my life. I'm the mother of my children. I am a bonafied mother of my children. I'm proud to be one. I am more a mother than a father. My desire to have children was because of the deep sense of nurturing I have, I want to channel the love within me into parenting. The vacuum within me has been filled by my children." said KJo.

When asked to elaborate further about how people perceive him, Karan said, "It's okay to be imperfect. It's okay to not resonate with the perceived reality and life is not a hallmark card. I was told to go to voice and body language sessions to 'correct' myself. It's not easy to be called pansy each time you enter the football field. Being a filmmaker is everything to me; it's my passion. I have made bad films myself."

When asked about the numerous times he gets badmouthed by fans on social media, he said, "I am a sadist, I love hearing abuse; it entertains me. At first, I used to get angry, then I was indifferent and now I look forward to it."

When asked about his sexual orientation, and whether that showcases in his movies, he said, "I'm not apologetic about my reality, my orientation and certainly not my cinema."

Well said Karan!
