Kapil Sharma Recalls Thinking About Committing SUICIDE: ‘Maybe During Childhood, I Must Have Felt Low But Nobody Would Have Noticed’
Ace comedian Kapil Sharma, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Zwigato, has opened up about a time he was having suicidal thoughts. In a recent interview, the comedy king revealed that in that phase he thought about committing suicide as he felt thought there was nobody with whom he could share his feelings. Kapil also mentioned that this was the not first time that he went through this phase, maybe, during childhood, he must have felt low, but nobody would have noticed.

Speaking with Aaj Tak, Sharma asserted, “In that phase, I thought about committing suicide. I thought there is nobody with whom I can share my feelings. The place where I come from, mental health is not something that is discussed. I don’t think this was the first time that I went through this phase. Adding to this, Kapil explained that as a public figure, crores of people know you as you entertain them, but when you come home, you are alone. “You are also not in a situation to live a normal life where you can go out, sit on the beach and look at the sea. You live in a two-room flat, and when it’s dark outside by evening, I cannot explain how bad the feeling is in that situation,” Kapil further stated. The Kapil Sharma Show host also revealed what he learned to enjoy small things in life from that phase. 

Meanwhile, Zwigato has been directed by Nandita Das and the film is slated to hit the theatres on March 17. Recently, the film was screened at Toronto International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival, where it garnered positive reviews.
