Kanika Kapoor Coronavirus Update: Singer Tests Positive For FOURTH Consecutive Time, Leaves Family Members Worried

Kanika Kapoor’s coronavirus diagnosis made news a few days ago, and she had been hospitalized on March 20, after testing positive for coronavirus. The Baby Doll singer had a travel history, and she had returned from London on March 9. The actress was in Lucknow, when she developed a few symptoms such as cough and fever, and after testing for coronavirus, the result came back positive. The singer was also slammed by many, for socializing and attending parties despite her travel history, when she should have been self-isolating. Now, Kanika has tested positive for COVID-19 for the fourth consecutive time, and her family members are worried about her health.

Kanika Kapoor is currently admitted in Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS). Zee News reports that the positive test result has her family worried as it seems she isn’t responding to the treatment. A family member said, “We are now worried over the test reports. It seems that Kanika is not responding to treatment and in this lockdown, we cannot even airlift her for advanced treatment. We can only pray for her recovery." However, doctors at the hospital stated that Kanika’s condition was stable.

In her interview with Times of India, Kanika Kapoor had claimed that the room in her hospital was dusty and that she isn’t being treated properly by the authorities.

However, Dr. RK Dhiman, Director of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), had denied these claims, calling them baseless. While speaking to Ahmedabad Mirror, Dr. Dhiman had said that the staff looking after her is for a four-hour shift, and that her room is cleaned every 4 hours. She was also criticized by them for her ‘starry behaviour’.
