Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and internet sensation Uorfi Javed are known to never mince their words when it comes to speaking their mind. The duo has often taken to their social media handles to express their feelings and experiences they have had to face in their life. The duo recently had a difference of opinion on Twitter when the fashionista opposed the actress’ view of how India has always loved only Khans. 

After having bashed Bollywood for many reasons, Kangana has been making the headlines for her mixed statements on the success of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Unhappy with the Dhaakad actress dividing actors based on their religion, Uorfi responded to her tweet by stating that art should never be divided by religion. Replying to her tweet, Kangana expressed how her view will be possible in an ideal world, which will not be achieved unless the government implements The Uniform Civil Code, that has divided the nation and the constitution. She wrote, “Yes my dear Uorfi that will be an ideal world but it’s not possible unless we have The Uniform Civil Code, till the time this nation is divided in the constitution itself it will remain divide, Let’s all demand Uniform Civil Code from @narendramodi ji in 2024 Manifesto. For the unversed, the ‘uniform civil code’ is one of ‘contentious promises’ made by the ruling party of India, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It states that personal laws of the citizens should be formulated and implemented equally regardless of their religion, gender and sexual orientation. 

Talking about Pathaan, the movie marks the comeback of Shah Rukh Khan, on the big screen after five years. With the movie, YRF is all set to introduce the audience to its spy universe which consists of Salman Khan’s Tiger, Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. The movie will see Deepika and Shah Rukh’s character teaming up to defeat John Abraham’s villainous character.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Emergency, her first solo directorial project. She will be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. A period political drama, the movie is based on the emergency period in India during the mid-70s, which was announced by the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. She will play the role of the late Prime Minister in the film. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles.
