Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has made a name for herself in the industry with her versatile performances and blunt comments. She never shies away from expressing her opinions, be it regarding favouritism in Bollywood or ongoing political matters. Being one of the few who often pens down their thoughts on on-going matters of the country on social media, she recently spoke about gender biases and sexual preferences.

She posted her tweets regarding the matter amidst the Supreme Court of India, hearing pleas regarding legalising same-sex marriage in the country. In a series of tweets Kangana explained how one should never make their gender or their sexuality their identity, rather they should focus on what they can offer the world. The 36-year-old went on to add that one should never view people from the lens of “gender or any other physical attributes.” She went on to say, “You know what happened to those who thought Kangana is just a woman. They were in for a big surprise because I am not, I never see/perceive myself or anyone else that way. I am always in a room full of people, individual energies only people not men/women/homo/hetro/ physically strong or weak, no!!!!!! On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Emergency, her first solo directorial project. She will be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. A period political drama, the movie is based on the emergency period in India during the mid-70s, which was announced by the then PM. She also has RSVP Movies’ Tejas, Chandramukhi 2 and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda in the pipeline.
