Kangana Ranaut Says She Needs An Umbrella To Maintain Her Skin Tone; Says, 'That Don't Mean I Am Not A Diva' - SEE PICS

Kangana Ranaut has been toiling away in the sun for her upcoming movie, Emergency. The story is based on the emergency period in India during the mid-70s, which was announced by the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. She will play the late Prime Minister in the film, which will be her first solo directorial project. Before the shooting of a particular scene, she had to make sure that they scouted the place very well.

The Dhaakad actress recently took to Instagram stories to share some behind-the-scenes of a technical recce day. Kangana shared two photos, one of her in conversation with her crew and the other of her sitting under an umbrella. She captioned the second picture, "Also for those who are wondering why that umbrella well I love tan but need to maintain my skin tone for prosthetic patches. Oscar-award-winning makeup artist David Malinowski has been roped in to transform Kangana into Indira Gandhi. In an earlier interview, sharing her thoughts on the same, the 35-year-old actress told a leading daily that David and his team had taken calls on how to go about the transformation. Recalling an incident with David, she said, "David Malinowski is the brain behind the transformation. We had a series of meetings to ascertain the final look. He did a bunch of look tests. In fact he pointed out that I have a lot of physical resemblance with Mrs Gandhi, including head texture, skin texture as well as jawline. I told him that in India people believe I am the perfect person to play Mrs Gandhi." The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles.

On the work front, alongside Emergency, Kangana will also be seen in RSVP Movies’ Tejas and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda.
