Kangana Ranaut's Intuitions, Her Obsession With Rajkummar Rao And The End Of Kanika-Prakash's Marriage: All Questions On Judgementall Kya Hai Answered

Judgementall Hai Kya writer and director duo, Kanika Dhillon and Prakash Kovelamudi had no plan B in mind when they set out to create the film for Ekta Kapoor They were certain about the story-line and were confident about the lead pair, Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao. We began by asking if they wrote the film with the actors in mind or first penned the script then decided on the star-cast. Pat came the reply, “Obviously, pehle likhi. It was written before and then we went for casting.”

Both Prakash and Kanika were all praises for Kangana and Rajkummar. They credited the duo for moulding themselves into the world of Bobby and Keshav. They told us how Kangana was always their first and last choice. Kanika began, "On paper itself, it was a risque, radical and bold subject. Many commercial and successful actors don't go for such roles or at least are scared and hesitant as to how the market and box-office would respond. But Kangana amongst them is secure and it is great to see when A-listers like her are ready to step out and push the envelope. Think of it, how would we be able to execute newer stories otherwise?"


Prakash Kolavade endorsed Kanika's statement on Kangana, "We didn't have anybody else in mind. Of course, we are happy that Kangana immediately said 'yes' to the film. What a brilliant performance she has delivered."

The time was now right to ask certain unexplained things from the film.


Did Kangana get intuitions in the film? Else how was she so sure about her perceptions? "Yes, she did. You have interpreted correctly. See, it's a character of a broken mind. Such people have an extra sense of perception/intuition," Prakash put his POV across.

And wasn't she obsessed with him? "Yes, she was. You have interpreted that too correctly."


After a good conversation around the film and the star-cast, it was finally time to know about their separation. We wanted to know when it happened and will they continue working together again in future.


Kanika replied, “We parted ways before the film started, when I moved to Mumbai.. It was a pleasure working with Prakash, and I really look forward to working with him again. We are professionals and we are very good friends.” Prakash too endorsed her thoughts and stated that he would love to work with Kanika again.

And of course, we too wouldn’t want to miss out on another gem of a project, considering how well-written was Judgementall Hai Kya.
