Kangana Ranaut Reveals If She Can Be Friends With Karan Johar, “Friends Is Like Stretching It”
Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut were recently awarded the Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honour. The duo attended the ceremony held on November 8 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. However, from the looks of it, the bad blood between them does not seem to end.

Kangana attended the Times Now Summit and spoke about not meeting Karan Johar at the prestigious event. “Our ceremonies were at different times. I think they went out of their way to keep us in different time slots,” quipped as quoted by ETimes.

The actress revealed that she intended to talk to him but was unable to spot him. She shared that there can be conflicts and disagreements but she doesn’t refute the idea of co-existence.

“I tried to spot him around and he wasn't there. I would have spoken to him. There can be conflicts and disagreements but that doesn't mean that you do not believe in co-existing. That's what I speak about and giving equal opportunities to all, be it outsider-insider, underprivileged, nepotism. I encourage co-existence of all kids so I was not going to misbehave.”

Kangana and Karan have been in dispute since 2017 and while attending KJo’s chat show, the actress had called the filmmaker the ‘flag-bearer of nepotism’ for launching star kids in Bollywood.

Ask Kangana Ranaut if she can ever be friends with Karan Johar, she said, “Friends is like stretching it. People can be friends only if they have a similar intellectual vibe.”

Soon after receiving the prestigious honour, Kangana had shared on Instagram, “Long ago when I started my career …. A question bothered me … I asked myself some want money, some want fans …. some seek fame and some just want attention …. What do I want ? Deep down I always knew as a girl child I wanted to earn respect and that is my treasure ❤️ Thank you India for this gift.”
