Kangana Ranaut REVEALS Her Film Projects Are Suffering Due To Political Commitments, Says 'Being A Parliamentarian Is A Very Demanding Job'
Kangana Ranaut, who has made a name for herself as both an actress and now as a politician, is currently navigating the complexities of balancing these two demanding careers. In a revealing interview with Variety, Kangana spoke candidly about the struggles she faces in juggling these dual roles. She acknowledged the intense demands of being a parliamentarian, particularly in her constituency, which has recently been devastated by floods. Kangana explained, “Being a parliamentarian is a very demanding job. Especially in my constituency, we’ve had floods, so I am all over the place. I have to go to Himachal and see to it that things are being taken care of.” The aftermath of the floods has added significant pressure to her already packed schedule, forcing her to prioritize her political duties over her commitments in the film industry. The impact of her political career on her film work has become increasingly evident. Kangana admitted that her ongoing film projects are suffering as a result of her political obligations. “My film work is suffering. My projects are waiting. I’m not able to start my shoots,” she shared. With parliamentary sessions dictating her availability, she finds herself constantly adjusting her film schedule to accommodate her political responsibilities. Despite these challenges, Kangana remains committed to both her roles and expressed a willingness to eventually choose the path that resonates with her the most. “I’m very open, and whatever needs me more and engages me more as a person, eventually I’ll take that route,” she said. However, for now, she is overwhelmed by the sheer volume of work in her life.

On the cinematic front, Kangana’s fans have been eagerly awaiting the third installment of the popular “Tanu Weds Manu” film series, in which she has played a key role. Although Kangana confirmed her involvement in the project last year, director Aanand L Rai recently provided an update on its progress. He clarified that the storyline for “Tanu Weds Manu 3” has yet to be finalized. “With ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns,’ we introduced a new character, Datto. These characters are all asking for a third part. The minute we have a great story—the story that Tanu, Manu, and Datto deserve—we’ll go for it,” the acclaimed director stated.

He further emphasized his desire to find a unique and compelling man-woman relationship dynamic for the next film. As a director, he is committed to exploring fresh and edgy love stories, ensuring that each project offers something new to the audience. While Kangana’s life is currently filled with the demands of both her political and film careers, fans can remain hopeful that the beloved “Tanu Weds Manu” series will return with a story worthy of its characters.
