And, it got a phenomenal response and critical acclaim from fans and critics. The audience were thrilled watching Kangana perform the character of the late Jayalalithaa. Many praised Ranaut for her versatility. On Wednesday, Kangana Ranaut made a tweet on social media. In the tweet, the actress revealed that Akshay Kumar called and praised her after watching the trailer of the film Thalaivi.
The Manikarnika actress reacted to a tweet made by the writer, Aniruddha Guha, who called her “an exceptional, once-in-a-generation actor”. On Twitter, replying to the tweet, Kangana wrote, “Bollywood is so hostile that even to praise me can get people in trouble, I have got many secret calls and messages even from big stars like @akshaykumar they praised @Thalaivithefilm trailer to the sky but unlike Alia and Deepika films they can’t openly praise it. Movie mafia terror.” The actress then went on to share that she got many secret calls from people in the Hindi film industry. In another tweet, Kangana continued and said that her political views and spirituality should not make her a target of bullying, harassment and isolation.
