Over the years, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has made her political standpoint evidently clear. From wishing right-wing leaders on their special days to sharing her take on the communal unrest through social media, she has also expressed her desire to join politics and work towards the betterment of her people. Now amid the killings of mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf, who were shot dead in front of the media in Uttar Pradesh`s Prayagraj on Saturday evening, the actress took to her social media to heap praises on UP’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Taking to her instagram story, the actress shared a picture of Adityanath talking to someone on the phone, with the caption, “aap log rona band kijiye, mere takk awaaz aarhi hai.” She further explained that it is written that religions are not established when they are followed, but are established when the wrong is stopped. In another story, she shared a video from her first meeting the CM and wrote in the caption how he told her that she is like his sister. He had gone on to express how she should tell him about her security concerns to him. The actress went on to say that such a great human like him should receive great success in life. On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Emergency, her first solo directorial project. She will be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. A period political drama, the movie is based on the emergency period in India during the mid-70s, which was announced by the then PM. She also has RSVP Movies’ Tejas, Chandramukhi 2 and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda in the pipeline.
