Kangana Ranaut-starrer biopic 'Thalaivii' was released last month and it garnered praises from the audience and critics alike. The A. L. Vijay’s directorial saw the actress portraying the role of former actor and late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa. Kangana has been sharing posts on how the various versions of Thalaivii has been trending across India and other countries as well. The actress recently poked fun at Thalaivii trending in Pakistan.

Taking to Instagram stories, Kangana shared a post informing that the film has grabbed the first spot in Netflix's Top 10 list of Pakistan. She also took a hilarious dig saying that traitors are everywhere and not just in India. Sharing the screenshot of a list of ‘Netflix Top 10 in Pakistan on October 10, 2021, she wrote, "On a lighter note jaan ke tasalli hue deshadrohi sirf isi desh me nahi hain (relieved to know that traitors are not in just our country).” 

In another follow-up post, the Tanu Weds Manu actress said, “Thalaivii is trending on top n many countries including Pakistan...Art has no barriers...With love from India.”


Thalaivii, which also featured Arvind Swami, Nassar, Bhagyashree, Samuthirakani among others, was released on September 10. The film arrived on Netflix after running in theatres for some time.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut has been making headlines due to her unapologetic comments on Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s arrest in a drug bust case. In her latest post, she drew parallels with how Jackie Chan had apologised when his son was arrested in a drug case.
