Bollywood actor and BJP lawmaker Kangana Ranaut has been vocal about the threats she has received ahead of the release of her upcoming film, "Emergency." On Thursday, she revealed that she has been facing rape threats, but asserted that such threats will not silence her. Speaking exclusively to IANS, Kangana made it clear that she would not be intimidated by these tactics. She stated, "Some people have trained their guns on me, but I am not one to get intimidated by bullets and threats." She added, "I am also getting rape threats, but they can’t suppress my voice." Kangana's comments seem to be a response to a controversial statement made by Simranjit Singh Mann, a former Punjab MP and chief of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar). Mann reportedly made a derogatory remark about Kangana, suggesting that she had "a lot of experience of rape." This insensitive comment has sparked outrage, and Kangana's remarks indicate her determination to stand her ground despite such provocations. The actress further emphasized her resolve to face any opposition that comes her way concerning the release of her film. She acknowledged that the film's release had encountered obstacles, which she attributed to the apprehensions and insecurities of certain individuals. However, Kangana made it clear that she is prepared to fight for her film, even if it means taking legal action. "An artiste like me can’t be intimidated or silenced. I will fight for my movie and take the battle even to court, if required," she told IANS.


Kangana also spoke about the importance of protecting an artist's creative freedom. She believes that no one should have the power to crush this liberty or prevent a film from being released. "I am not the one who fears bullets and threats. They can’t silence my voice," she reiterated.

Through her statements, Kangana Ranaut has underscored her resilience and commitment to her work, refusing to back down in the face of threats and intimidation. Her determination to ensure the release of "Emergency" despite the challenges she faces highlights her belief in standing up for artistic freedom and her unwillingness to be silenced by fear.
