Kangana Ranaut -Javed Akhtar Defamation Case: Court Rejects Actress Applications Alleging Magistrate Hearing The Case Was Biased-Report
In the recent development in Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar's ongoing fight on a defamation case, Sessions Court has reportedly rejected the applications filed by the actress. In her plea, Kangana had asked for a transfer of the case as she alleged that the Magistrate who is hearing the case wasn’t being fair. However, as per Etimes TV report, no material to prove her claims has been found against the Magistrate. Therefore, a detailed court order has dismissed her applications.

Javed Akhtar's lawyer Jay Bharadwaj told the portal that “Ranaut has unsuccessfully challenged the procedure followed by the Magistrate on 7 different occasions.” According to detailed judgment, the court stated, “In absence of any material demonstrating the apprehension that justice will not be done, without any bias, such application for transfer cannot be entertained. Therefore while assurances of fair trial needs to be respected, plea of transfer of case should not be entertained on mere apprehension.”

Bharadwaj further revealed that all applications or petitions filed by Kangana Ranaut have been rejected by the respective Courts. The matter is now listed before the Court of 10th MM on March 22.
