Kangana Ranaut Dismisses Reports Of Thalaivi's New Release Date; Says ‘Please Refrain From Rumours’
After coming across the reports of Thalaivi’s new release date being fixed, Kangana Ranaut decided to take the matters into her hands and revealed the new date is yet to finalise
Actor Kangana Ranaut’s highly-anticipated Thalaivi was scheduled to release on April 23 this year. However, owing to the second wave of Coronavirus, the film’s release date was pushed indefinitely. Since then there have been some reports that the makers of the film have fixed new release date. Now, after coming across such reports of the new date being fixed, Kangana Ranaut decided to take the matters into her hands and revealed that the new date is yet to be finalised.
Giving a clarification on the same, Kangana took to her Instagram stories and wrote, "No release date has been finalised for #Thalaivi yet, please refrain from rumours, we will release the film as and when cinemas open all across the country.” Speaking about Thalaivi, the film is on the journey of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J. Jayalalithaa and her life in various stages. From her struggles in the film world, the rise of her stardom to her battle through the political hurdles and ultimately emerging as the fierce leader who changed the shape of Tamil Nadu politics, the film is going to touch all the important aspects of her life.
She also has Dhaakad where the actor will be seen as Agent Agni. The film's first schedule was shot in Madhya Pradesh. Apart from Dhaakad, Kangana Ranaut also has period drama Manikarnika Returns The Legend Of Didda and another action film, Tejas, in the pipeline.
Kangana Ranaut to even essay another powerful female politician, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency. She will be directing the movie.
